Eden Kane, British singer, was born in New Delhi on 29 March 1940. His real name was Richard Sarstedt, brother of Peter and Clive. He toured Australia during 1966 with Roy Orbison and Del Shannon, and performed at Festival Hall in Brisbane on 1 October. This shot was taken in the dressing room of one of Brisbane’s television studios on that day. The shirt was a great shade of purple.

Probably, his most notable hit song was “Boys Cry”. His brother, Peter, had hits such as “Take Off Your Clothes”, “Where Do You Go To My Lovely”, and “Frozen Orange Juice”.

In later years, Eden was involved in record production and acting, with roles in the television series “Star Trek” (as Richard Sarstedt).
